About Me

As an avid skier and whitewater kayaker, I’ve not only navigated the physical challenges of these sports but also honed my expertise in mastering the mental game that defines success in extreme sports. My journey as an athlete has inspired me to help others unleash their full potential through targeted mental skills training.

I grew up skiing, rock climbing, and hiking. Those early experiences shaped my love for being outside and led me to pursue a life focused on outdoor activities. I spent seven incredible years working as a raft guide and safety kayaker in the summer and teaching skiing at Big Sky resort in the winter. After I “retired” from raft guiding, I taught kayaking in the summer and became a guide in Big Sky Resort’s guide program in the winter. This seasonal lifestyle helped me develop focus, motivation, and resilience.

With a unique blend of academic knowledge and real-world experience, I bring a personalized approach to mental performance coaching. I know what it’s like to face real risk in extreme sports. I understand the fickle and unpredictable demands of sports that are condition-dependent. And I recognize the meaning and inspiration that can be experienced by connecting nature and creativity through an extreme sport. I am passionate about helping athletes and performers build a healthy relationship with fear, utilize tools to excel during pressure moments, and develop a practice to increase well-being, motivation, and flow.
